I just saw that too and could not believe it. Here is the link:

It happened in a Texas hospital and the baby was only 3 days old and jaundiced too. That is just too sad because the baby probably needs to be under the bilirubin lights to help the jaundice...what a nightmare for the mother. I had my last baby almost 2 years ago in a Texas hospital and there were so many security measures everywhere...I really don't see how this "unknown" medical worker could even be on the maternity floor and not be noticed by the other nurses as someone that does not even belong there! I sure hope this baby is found soon. :(

I don't see how this keeps happening. I live in a little hick town and the babies get the alarm bracelets on their ankles. Walk past a certain point in the hallway and it goes off. Found this part out when hubby was walking our first one around and went a tad bit too far, lol. Mother and father both get ID bracelets that match the baby's bracelet and the nurse checks them and all that stuff. And how does no one on the staff notice someone LEAVING with a newborn? I mean, even if she tried to hide it.....I would think it was noticeable.

She knew finished properly what she replaced into doing. She sliced the real mom's throat and stole the toddler. She were appearing pregnant for month's to throw each and every physique else off, so with a premeditated crime like that, she's not loopy. It took some theory. I say supply her existence and 24 hours an afternoon, 7 days a week play the sound of a toddler crying in her cellular!

wow, they must have really great security at that hospital. i live in a small city in kansas and even out hospital puts alarms on the mother and the child. if the baby ever gets within a certain amount of feet from the mother or the nursery, the entire hospital shuts down. that's too bad.

This is why the staff gives you the lowdown about the badges. When you are in the hospital you HAVE to make sure that anyone who comes to get your baby has a badge. Even the small hospitals have this security feature in place. Without a badge...no baby!!
It's horrible that people do this...that you have to even worry about this. But we need to be protective of our children the MOMENT they are born....

I just read about it on CNN. It is horrible. Apparently she cut the security braclet off. And again, how would she a) not be noticed as being a regular nurse, even with scrubs on and b) how would she leave the hospital with the baby?
People amaze me these days. My baby's not leavin my sight unless Dad or I go with her.

They put alarms on the baby's ankle so if they are taken out of the birth center of the hospital they will go off. the alarms have to be turned off by the nurse at the nurses station before they can be removed. if the alarm loses contact with babys skin it alarms.

...yet another reason I never let anyone (even nurses) take my baby out of my room for any reason when I was in the hospital with each of my children!
