What age? When I was a kid, I played baseball and soccer. My parents gave me one of those angled springy nets to practice throwing and catching for baseball, but I ended up using it a lot for soccer too!

depends on where you live. if u live in europe it would be awesome to get tickets to the champions league or uefa cup games. if not, then tickets to go see the bday person's favorite team play.
