will world of warcraft work on windows vista?

i have windows vista on my new computer but for some reason world of warcraft will not play as it asks to download a patch when i say yes it downloads but says it failed

Yes! It will, Blizzard had made a patch for it so it will work perfect on vista too.

Nothing works on Windows Vista, if you haven't figured that out yet.
