I tried to run my HP Pavilion built-in webcam to take snapshots, but all I saw was a greyish screen, then it froze and a message appeared :"Data Execution Prevention: To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program."

So I try using MSN or Yahoo messenger to see if it works within these applications, but it works just find. I even capture a video with Windows Movie Maker with no problem.

I'm suspecting it might be a problem with the program HP Pavilion Wecam.

Can someone help me out please? Thanks!

i'm not conscious of QuickPlay, in spite of if it appears that evidently like an Apple product. Apple and laptop at the instant are not very properly matched, so some how i'm not bowled over that there is a topic. replace your drivers? could be so straight forward as a driving force concern. attempt yet another participant? i like to apply VLC. How are you taking photos the flow? VLC will enable video flow seize, or yet another is named AVICAP. the two are loose; google for them.
