Take a deep breath. Follow their instructions to set up a site. I am remembering the first time I ever did this, and it took me all day, so take your time to figure it out.

Then it will depend on what kind of document it is. Is it something already on the computer? Is it papers that you are holding in your hand?

If it's already in your computer, the simplest way for a newbie, will be to copy the text with your mouse and paste it into a text box on your new website.

If it's a .pdf file and you have rights to it, you can import it into your website and then use a link to it because it will be its own page.

If it's a paper you have in your hand, scan it or photograph it with a digital camera, and put it on your website as a picture.

Hey wisconsins, following up on what Kacky shared above, once you open up your http://www.geocities.com/ account, you may want to refer the HELP section listed below in the Source List on how to upload your files.
