Never give up on your goals. There's always a way. It just may take longer, you may have to work harder to achieve it (getting 2 jobs, saving your money etc, depending what it is). Will Smith stars in a true life rags to riches story, "The Pursuit of Happyness". A man was living on the street with his son, he lost everything. But he had a dream of success & the ambition to work hard & he ended up being a wealthy broker. Nothing is impossible if you believe & you work hard.

The only thing that can stop you from reaching your goal is your attitude toward it. Think positive, treat your goal the same as you would living. If you place your goal as a top priority, and plan out each step, money will be only one step in the process. Be an expert at what you do. If it is a career goal linked to advanced education, bug everyone and everything until something give. Ask anyone that have been successful what was the overall most important thing to their success, they will not say money. Most people will say, not giving up. (Determination). There is no such thing as logically not being able to get money, they have even coined a phase called venture capital. Give up? never!!.

When you are confronted by a problem you must consider whether your thoughts are reasonable. Ie: You want to win the lottery(not a reasonable goal). However setting your mind on a career is never a bad goal. There are many options to go with in this circumstance.
1. Try going for a scholarship where the career program is offered, there are always scholarships for those willing to work at it.
2. Try getting a job and working toward saving up money, family should be able to help out a little, however you can make your own way.
3. Try going for something that might be in the same career area, ie:(Doctor- go into a medical field, nurse, radiologist...).
4. Don't become set on one goal in life, there are a million options open to you, there isn't one job offer out there. Keep your outlook open and remember to keep on dreaming, making the goals higher.
Hope this helps you, good luck, you can do whatever you set your heart & mind to. Life is a open book with blank pages waiting for you to write on them.

Absolutely, because drive gets you there. I trudged on the factory floors for over a decade taking part time university and college courses on the side. I could not afford to be a full time student. Before I could get my degree, I was laid off. I applied through employment agencies to break into the financial industry. The pay was even lower than in the factory. Then I got a lucky break in Toronto. I got in permanently into the administrative area of a bank that has the senior position I want in other department. I have already moved up two job levels and now my dream position is more within reach than it has ever been.
Almost everyone around me has said (on their own)......"
You are the most driven person I have ever met. You will go far!!"
As the old saying goes: NEVER, EVER GIVE UP.
Personally, I think it is mind over matter...

It depends on what the goal is that you want to achieve. If you want to lose weight, get a driver's license, have six children, you can attain that goal.
If you want to be a movie star, a ballet dancer, a football or baseball player in the major leagues, ability might stop you.
If you want to own your own home, drive an expensive car, have the finest jewelry and clothing, have servants, enjoy expensive vacations or gambling then you won't achieve those goals without money.

I would like to fly with wings to the moon, I would like to eat a mountain of choclate, and I would like to be the smartest person on earth, BUT IT AIN'T GOING TO HAPPEN.
Where the saying goes "Your reach should exceed your grasp".....it is also true that everthing has it's limitations.
So goals must be set realistic, everyone has goals, some are do-able, some are just wishfull thinking. You have to learn to separate these...Money has nothing to do with accomplishing things.
Life is a game, and money is only ONE of the ways to keep score.

No; although I have never made a big deal of having distinct "goals," money has never been an issue in achieving them.
It all depends on what kind of "goals" a person has.
Some require $$, and other's just require practice, diligence and discipline.
"Goals" do not necessarily have to be material in nature, either.

money definitely makes achieving goals a struggle. speak to the millions of college students in the U.S. taking out student loans and receiving financial aid. however, there is always the story of the guy who started with a paper clip and traded his way up to a house. i guess anything is possible. you should definitely try to reach your goal, no matter what the circumstances, otherwise who knows if you would've succeeded.

I think you have something confused...
You need something for you project say poster board that costs 50 cents.
What do you need 50 cents or the poster board?
Your need isn't for 50 cents but the poster board.
We live in a world that teaches us our need is for more money when in fact money isn't the need..it is just one way to meet the need..
If you focused on the posterboard instead of the money..you just might find it doesn't take money to get what you need.
