Texas Monthly called Wichita Falls "the armpit of Texas" in one of their columns. Wichita Falls is just a wide spot in the road halfway between Amarillo and Dallas. It was very nice once they completed the freeway to go over downtown. I can't recommend Wichita Falls. No reason why. It's just a boring part of Texas. And, I love Texas. Think flat. Think older architecture. Think isolated.

I have never been to Texas but do have a friend who lives there. It is a wealthy state so I'm sure the job market is good.

I used to live near there. Everything's cheap, but it's because there are no jobs. Don't move there until you already have one set up.
