They both plug into the same router, but they don't want to recognize each other. Both have different newtwork names. Do I have to change to the same name. If so, how?

You want both of them in the same Workgroup.
Also check your firewalls to see if they allow traffic from the other computers on your LAN (Local Area Network).

you can usually browse different workgroups as long as they're on the same subnet mask (you should see the different available workgroups)

in any case....you can also type the local ip of a computer into a web browser and access it by way of ftp...it'll bring you right to the shared folders.

To get the internal network ip for a computer just open the command prompt and type "ipconfig" it'll be a 192.xx.xx network ip
