Capitalism is an economic system. Socialism and communism are political ideologies. Communism used to use a command economic system.
As to relation.. Communist China now uses capitalist mechanisms in their economic system. Although the state still has ultimate control of the system, it allows production of goods, prices and wages to be determined largely by market forces. They have a stock market(s) and banking similar to the democratic nations of the west. But they'll still throw you in prison (at least) if you protest too loudly about the government.
Socialism is a political ideology started in the 19th century which has many economic ideals that are incorporated in most democratic capitalist states. Welfare, old age pensions, healthcare, employment insurance are all socialist programs that are widespread in Europe and the Western Hemisphere. Even in the good ol' US of A. There are many socialists governments throughout the democratic world, where, unlike the USA, socialism is not a dirty word. Most democratic socialist countries have free markets.
Most Americans might be surprised to find out that good old Tony Blair, PM of the United Kingdom, runs a socialist party.

Capitalism is where the economy is relatively independent of the government.
Socialism is where the government fully controls the economy. (The "opposite" of capitalism.)
Communism is a branch of socialism which is a one-party system. Money people earn goes first to the government, and is then equally distributed to all the people in the country.

Communism is an extreme version of Socialism.
In socialism, the government has a control over the economy. In Communism, the government has that control to the common man's level. That is, you can find more billionaires if you were in a socialist country tha in a communist country.
Capitalism is a different thing. It is an economic structure.

All 3 of them are social structures, as a man, a pig and an elephant are animals.
