if you ask them what theyre fav music is they probz answer J.T or britney spears beyonce ot someone like that. They have never heard of any classics. when i was 13 i used to love classic music like boston or simply red or Aero Smith, and people used to think i had bad taste. i think old rock n roll band rock and will always remain the best.

I'm a teenager & I like Bob Dylan, Queen, The Beatles, Elton John etc... I get your point though. I'm the only one in my year who does like them!

I strongly disagree with you. I'm 18 and my first rock concert ever was when I was 16 I saw Aerosmith and Lenny Kravitz was the header. One of my favorite bands of all time is GNR. I love older music and I love music going further back than the 70's and 80's even.
If you ask me who my favorite artists are I will not say Britney or Beyonce. I like Alexisonfire, Pearl Jam, Finger Eleven, Metric, Matt Mays, The Raconteurs, Soundgarden, Modest Mouse, The Foo Fighters Incubus Ill Scarlett and The Tokyo Police Club.
You can't expect music to stay the same, just like 80's music was different than the 40's. Music grows and it evolves, I think with the exception of manufactured pop princes/ princesses todays music is really good! I think you should appreciate the classics but also the new wave of very talented artists!
PS Don't hate on Justin, since he left NSYNC he's pretty good!

think teenagers have a different taste in music. Classics ?,
you mean Beethoven, Bach, and Brahms ?, How about a little
Classical country or Blue Grass ?, then there's Acid rock,
Bee Bop etc etc. sure there's something in there that's either
great or terrible -- depends on how you look at it. Teenagers
are and always will be teenagers -- defy the "old folks".

I'm 13 and I love classic rock. Some EXCELLENT examples would be KISS, Van Halen, Metallica, AC/DC, Ozzy, the Grateful Dead, etc. So don't tell me all teenagers have a bad taste in music, alot of my friends like the same music too.

i'm a teenager, and I think what you say is somewhat true, though there are a lot of teens out there that don't fit the stereotype. I, for one, absolutely love classical music, like dvorak and debussy. I'm also really in to the music you described. there are actually a lot of people who like music from that time period, and because of that, it's obvious that they are really good bands, because they have stayed around for so long. usually it's the kids in choir or band or orchestra that appreciate actual "music" because they have come to appreciate the elements of music that so many modern groups lack...

this is a new generation of music and this is all that we have and we grew up listening to it your music was way before our time era and i bet when you were a teen adults said the same thing about your music and i dont like britney spears new music beyonce is way overated in fact i dont like most of the rap artists out(Young Jezzy Young Joc 50 Cent) i like todays R&B and old school stuff

im 22 and i like classic rock..actully im listening to the doors song ppl are strangers right now...i dont think teenagers have bad taste...theres ur taste and other tastes its different from person to another and depend on the age...everyone have a different taste but that doesnt mean its bad taste...

well, i'm a teenager and i think some teenagers have taste in music and some don't...
some of them change a lot the things that they are listening to so you can't relay on them but there are some teenagers that are loyal to one type of music and it will stay like that..

ew i hate all those singers you listed above. i love rock, no rap or hip hop. i helped my mys bf with his itunes and he had me listen to some of his music it was all stuff i call old people music, it was all old rock n roll. i actually put some of it on my ipod so i guess i do have good taste in music. its was pretty good. and im 15
