The Greeks r the only ones that had 2 empires!One with great Alexander and one with great Konstantin the Byzantium empire.So the Greek r the greatest!

In terms of the largest Empire by land size that would be the British Empire of the 19th and early 20th century.

The largest contiguous Empire was Genghis Khan's Mongolian Empire. It was also very important because it opened up routes of trade and information from Europe to the East.

The Empire that had the greatest impact on history was probably the Roman Empire, as the Western world still speaks variations of their language, has governments and laws based on theirs, practices many of its social conventions, etc.

The Macedonian Empire was too short lived, only the 11 years that Alexander the Great was alive to be called the greatest, but by spreading Greek thought it certainly did have a huge impact on history.

Ultimately though my vote probably would go to the British.

None of yours. Either the Roman or the British. Roman- Controlled all known world, amazingly great military, created Senate, republic, etc... British- First global empire, the sun never set on the British flag, defeated one of the greatest naval strikes in history, the Spanish Armada, controlled some piece of every continent at one time, etc... I personally like the Roman more.

Well, its a hard one bcuz every empire had strong points and bad ones as well. But in my opinion Roman Empire was the perfect empire which extended across Europe and commanded the Middle-East for a longer time than any other empire and also that no empire evolved so enormously as the Roman empire, their town planning system and war tactics are somethin to talk about.

1.Greece - built the foundation of western world. before Greece, europe wasnt not even a civilization.

2.Rome - spread Greecian culture through Europe. made great achievements in law, construction, and politics.

3.China - has been the most rich, populated, advanced in technology over 1000 years. built the foundation of eastern Asia including Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Mongol, and so on.

4.Persia - the 1st world sized empire. It was as strong as Rome Empire at their highest. Alexander the great found that the country he conquered was way more advanced than his motherland.

5.Islam Empires(including Ottomans) - since 17th century, they were superior to Europe in every way. had the mightest army at that time, and was the center of the world dominating international commerce. Math and Chemistry we study today couldnt come this far without their contributions

6.Mongol - the biggest empire ever built. connected the world.

7.Britain - gave birth to capitalism, democracy, modern science, and industrial revolution. It built the world we know today.

So...whats your choice?

there have been a lot of super empires in background, and others that we are only getting to grasp approximately via the international. In present day background, i'd would desire to declare that Roman, Egyptian, and Greek empires have been the best empires in background.... and not unavoidably in that order!

hi ,The Roman Empire,they were all over the world.They spread them selves to thin around the world.Thus they were destroyed,by being spread out to thin.I often think of America sticking it`s nose in every body`s business around the world.We do not have enough troops to start another war,think about it.
