I have US Cellular (i like to call it US S**t-u-lar). My phone, out of nowhere stopped working. It would turn off by it self and wouldn't turn back on. It just randomly turns on when it wants to, for couple minutes. My contract expires in 5 months. I don't want to get a new phone because they will make me sign another contract. Is there any way I can get a new cell phone without signing a contract. Is there a way that if I get older US Cellular phone that's working and transfer all of my stuff on to that phone and use it.

I don't have insurance on my phone. I went to US Cellular and they said that they have to send it out to LG and it's going to cost me $100 just for them to take a look at it because I don't have insurance.

Are you paying the $4.99 (or some such amount) per month for insurance? Check your bill. If so you can get a new phone. If not, the only thing I know is ask around did anybody who upgraded keep their old phone (not too old) and can you use it if it was OK. If you are lucky enough to find one, change the SIM card to the other phone. Before you do so, make sure all your phone #'s are backed up in the SIM.

Ok, Im not too familiar with US Cellular, but I know whith many, if not all phone company's if you do not want to sign a new contract you would have to buy a new phone at the unactivated price. That usually runs anywhere from $150 - $500 depending on what you want. You could possibly find a cheaper phone on ebay, or somewhere else on line. But thats about the only way to do it. Good Luck!

usually if you have a old cell phone they can turn it on for you however if you have a sim card in your phone it may or may not be able to switch it out of 1 phone into another if your on a contract hopefully you got insurence with the package then you can get a new phone without paying for it or you can just take it up there and tell them what the problem is and maybe they can fix it you night just need a new battery for your phone
