That's an old wives tale!!! My son had so much hair when he was born he looked like he was wearing a wig. His first haircut was at 3 months and NO ONE, including my doctor thought there was one thing wrong with it. I'm mom to 3.

the main suitable answer I even have is for you, or while you're uncomfortable have a buddy do it whilst he's asleep. Then he won't be moving or disillusioned and you will trim it up. it may't be the main suitable haircut, yet having been there achieved that with a expert i replaced into somewhat ticked that I had to pay $12 for the particularly undesirable, first haircut my son have been given whilst he replaced into 20 months. He of direction did no longer sit down nonetheless and it replaced into enormously plenty butchered. pass with the trim wile he's asleep mindset. you will the two be happier.

I do hair for a living and who ever is telling you that is silly. I cut kids hair as well as my own boys under a year all the time. I do know that some cultures wait for some reason, I live in South Texas and the Mexican culture is to wait until 2 years.(Don't quote me on that) but I have friends that do it. So bottom line if your child has hair in their eyes then cut it, plus I like my boys to look a certain way so go for it. My 3 month old as a baby faux hawk-Do what you want it is your baby!

Your baby can have a haircut at any time! You don't have to wait for anything. Maybe what people who told you that meant was to try to let baby's hair grow for a year, but, if it's you baby, and you want him/her to have a haircut, do it!

that is too long. I gave my baby a haircut when he was about 4 months, it is true that you have to wait a while, but not too long. Besides their hair will fall off alone since they change it because the one that they have when they are just born is called lanugo or something like that which will fall off.

The first wave of hair that comes in or what they're born with all falls out. It's sort of funny, but they'll get hair, or be born with it, then it'll all fall out (they go bald). Then they'll grow their permanent hair.

I think people don't get their children's hair cut for emotional reasons. It's admitting that they are growing up! :(
