Whats a good, free spyware scanner and remover? And where do I install it to? The C drive?

go on AVG anti-spyware and download the step up. It's a good %100 free anti-spyware and also anti virus. You can down load both which i did and it's satisfactory.

I have used a lot of them in the past my fav is spy doctor. It always finds stuff the other are missing. It has a good free trail.

Format the disk and install one of the following operating
systems:
http://fedora.redhat.com
http://www.opensuse.org
http://www.debian.org
http://www.ubuntu.org
http://www.slackware.org
http://www.freebsd.org
http://www.opensolaris.org
This process will make it highly unlikely you'll have to deal
with spyware again.

Spybot Search and Destroy, the name says it all!
Avast is great at detecting anything bad that tries to get on your pc and it sits quietly on your taskbar. You should download both to your C drive.

the one that i use is called spybot-search&destroy
just do a yahoo search on it and then install it to your c drive. its reall easy to install and use.
