I believe that the New York Mets have a chance to win it all because they will be motivated by being so close last year...

The Mets pitching isn't that good. I doubt that they will win it. I think that the Yankees will win it because they have good enough pitching and even better hitting. They improved on their pitching by getting rid of Randy Johnson and Jaret Wright and bringing back Andy Pettitte. They also acquired Kei Igawa and have Phil Hughes in the Minors. Hughes can prove to be a good pitcher as well.

I am going to go with the team that improved the most in the offseason..The Chicago Cubs. Soriano was a huge add. He is starting to become more flexible with the outfield. Felix Pie will be brought up soon and he will be a huge factor. They have Floyd, and Jacques Jones also in the outfield so they are set there. If Big Z (Carlos Zambrano) can stay consistent and keep his head cool, he will be another big factor. They added a nice reliever in Neal Cotts. And one of the most overlooked players on the Cubs of this year is Kerry Wood. He will be in the bullpen this year. If he can stay somewhat healthy, he will play a huge role in the Cubs' playoff run. Their Bullpen is young and will develop this year. Their starting pitching is the only thing that may be a little streaky. If Prior can stay healthy, he'll be a factor as well (he is still only 26 years old). Also, if Derrek Lee can be the way he was 2 years ago, their hitting will be good. Michael Barrett behind the plate is great and Aramis Ramirez taking the spot in the hot corner will be great. Pinella was a good addition as well. Soo in short, the Cubs only need to worry about their starting pitching, their middle infielders (izturis and derosa may be a little streaky), they also need to worry about their experience: This is a young team and may be too inexperienced.

The truth is, the best hitting lineups in the MLB in 2007 will come from the New York Yankees and the New York Mets if you look at the names they have on the team. But ultimately, it will come down to the pitching, which for both teams is going to be shaky. The Yankees have a better pitching lineup, but there is no telling how Mike Mussina and Pettite will do because of their ages. The Mets need some pitchers, Glavine isn't an absolute 15-20 game winner because of his age, and Pedro needs time to recover. This year will be tough, but by the looks of spring training, which doesn't mean anything, the Yankees are looking great, and the Mets will come along. Lets hope for a subway series!

I love the Mets and hope that they win. They will win, beating the Cleveland Indians.

Lets take a look....

Catchers:
Victor Martinez is the best catcher in the game. He has power and average. Paul lo Duca has average, but not as much power.

1B:
Blake is a so-so first baseman for Cleveland. Everyone knows about Delgado

2B:
Josh Barfield's numbers are scarily close to David Wright's in his rookie year. Give Barfield a couple more years, or even one season, and he'll be a dominant 2B. Jose Valentin is too inconsistent.

3B:
Has anyone ever heard of Marte, Cleveland's 3B? I haven't, sorry...David Wright is amazing.

SS:
Jhonny Peralta is another up and coming player for Cleveland. He'll probably knock down 20 dingers, but can't match Reyes' speed production.

OF:
Delluci/Sizemore/Nixon are good...I like David Delluci, Grady Sizemore has superstar written all over him, with speed and power, Trot Nixon is sorta washed up.

Alou/Beltran/Green....amazing if they can stay healthy.

DH:
This is the Met's problem. Travis Hafner is insanely good, which will bring the Indians to the WS. However, only half the time will there be a DH. The Mets will probably put Anderson Hernandez at 2B and Valentin at DH for interleague and the WS.

Starters;
The Mets have Glavine, that's all. Pedro is injury prone, and the rest unproven. However, I trust Rick Peterson will whip them into shape. Especially the younger ones.
The Indians have Sabathia and Westbrooke, two great starters.

Bullpen:
The Mets beat them here, with Wagner and Sanchez. No notable relievers for Cleveland.

Overall:
Mets are a better team with a better coaching staff (Willy Randolf at manager).

By the way..
BoSox won't make the playoffs, the Yankees will win the division and the AL CENTRAL will get the wild card spot (with cleveland, minnesota, white sox, and tigers it will get interesting!)

The Red Sox will they have the best Rotation in the AL maybe even the MLB. The lineup had been improved greatly from last year too.

Lineup:
1. Kevin Youkilis 1B
2. Julio Lugo SS
3. David Ortiz DH
4. Manny Ramirez LF
5. J.D. Drew RF
6. Jason Varitek C
7. Mike Lowell 3B
8. Coco Crisp CF
9. Dustin Pedroia 2B

Rotation:
1. Curt Schilling
2. Daisuke Matsuzaka
3. Josh Beckett
4. Johathan Papelbon
5. Tim Wakefield

Bullpen:
1. Closer: Mike Timlin
2. Setup: Manny Delcarmen
3. Setup: Craig Hansen

Tell me this isn't a great team for the '07 season and a WS Champion team.

Either the New York Yankees, or the Chicago Cubs. First let's start with the Yankees, I personally think the Yanks have the best chance because of their improved pitching with Kei Igawa, Pettite, And the hope of Clemens. The Yanks field ing is also on the top of their game with Gold Glove Doug Mientkiewicz, Derek Jeter, and Robby Cano, and their bench with Miguel Cario and Melky Cabrera. Also the Cubs picked up Soriano and their new coach Pinella will work the crap out of the team making the Cubbies a great contender this season. I also think the Mets have a pretty good chance with new aquisition Moises Aloiu, and they are a all around good team.

This is a very good question....thanks for asking it.

I think from the American League to ACLS will be between the
NY Yankees or Boston vs the LA Angels

The NCLS will be between the NY Mets and are your ready the LA Dodgers with World Series being between the Yankees and Dodgers with the Yankees winning in six.

Why? Yankees seem to have it all, the Mets have a very balanced offense but their pitching especially with Pedro out
until late July/early August the rotation is questionable at best.

Sign me...the Brewers fan who is always waiting for next year...hey who knows we may surprise this year!

Mets vs Red Sox in world series.

Mets have some very good young pitchers on the staff who can step it up. They also got vets like glavine and el duque who can get it done when it counts. Their bullpen is very good with Wagner as ace closer. Delgado will be better this year after one year in NL.

Red Sox has great pitching and they also upgraded their lineup with Drew, Lugo, and a healthy Crisp. They never had insurance for Manny this year they paid $15 million for one. Manny will be sandwiched between two RBI machines in Drew and Ortiz. Their only problem is bullpen which I think they will trade for. Twins will move Nathan to cut some cap room and promote a closer.

Boston Red Sox Improved Pitching Healthier Fielding Hitting and Never lose track of the Yankees.

If they get by them NL teams like Mets, Dodgers and Cardinals will be nothing in the World Series.

The Minnesota Twins. Because they had a great season last year with Joe Mauer, the batting champ and Justin Morneau the MVP, and Johan Santana the CY Young winner. They'll go all the way!
