There can be a few possibilities. But always CHECK THE BASICS FIRST. check your brake fluid ( Dot 5 synthetic fluid are not recommended for ABS, fuses and connectors. If you know anybody who has a scan tool, It will tell you exactly what the problem is. or you can check it visually. You can check the wheel speed sensors and tone ring (Toothed ring) mounted on the outer CV joint or sometimes inside the rotor. . It is a magnetic sensor that sends an AC signal to the control unit. since it is magnetic, check if there are metal shaving that blocking the sensor. If it is dirty it will not give any signal. clean it with a brush and hot soapy water. Bearing can be one of the problem too. Then check your wiring. An open wire means extra resistance. Also, changing to a bigger or smaller tire can disable ABS. They have a different rotational speed. And if it still does not help, take it to the dealer. It is worth spending a few bucks for an expensive truck. GOOD LUCK!!!

The ABS light comes on when the ABS computer senses a fault of some sort related to your anti-lock system. It could be a bad wheel speed sensor or wiring or even the controller itself. You will have to take it to a shop and have the system scanned to find out what trouble code is in the system that is causing the light to illuminate.

The abs light might be nothing more than you are low on brake fluid. Checking all the fluid levels too.
Get a Haynes Repair Manual at the local Auto Zone or auto parts store in your area. It will troubleshoot and show you how to fix your vehicle. Also on the Auto Zone site has a section for vehicle maintenance

you need to go to an auto parts store and have them plug in to the truck and do a diagnostics test that will tell you more on what to do and they will tell you what is wrong and how to fix it they will also turn off the light for now it might come back on but at least you will know why and how to fix it

You will need a scanner to pinpoint the code.
likely a wheel speed sensor.
