when the wind blows?

hi,
As I'm a big fan of Roger Waters, I have a great CD called when the wind blows, with also Genesis and David Bowie. I rughly know it's related to an animation movie, but I know almost noting about it (I'm not from UK). Does anybody know something about it? Is there a way to see it somewhere?

The cartoon is written by Raymond Briggs and it is a bout a couple and how they cope when a nuclear bomb hits. It's very moving and also amusing at times. Very good film you should definitely watch it.

All the above answers are well and good, but if you can't get hold of a copy of the movie (try eBay and Amazon), you could also have a look for the graphic novel of the same name that the movie was based on.

The main character (Jim) was I believe the same chap from one of Raymond Brigg's other books, 'Gentleman Jim', about a guy whose job was cleaning public toilets. In 'When the Wind Blows', he and his wife have retired to the country, but it didn't do them any good.

This book is the single most eloquent piece of anti-nuclear protest I have ever seen. I read it nearly 20 years ago, and I can still remember the artwork and dialogue clearly.

Very dear friend of mine helped make this film.Its the story of an old couple who survive a nuclear war.The old guy follows all the government guide lines which are of course a joke.Not the most happy, feel good film ever made.........................

well everyone else has already said what i was going to....so i guess i'll just back them all up...it's a fantastic cartoon, very moving, very funny, very sad....it's so unfortunate that so many people were told to do these things in case a bomb ever did go off, what tehy do in the movie people really were told to do in case of a nuclear bomb....thank god it didnt happen.
