Autumn,
it is very easy to do!
go to MY EBAY.
on the LEFT side, go to MY ACCOUNT.
then go to PERSONAL INFORMATION.
you will see all your info listed.
next to your user name, there is an EDIT link.
click it and change your user id name.
the feedback stays with your new ID.
you will have a NEW icon next to your ID for 30 days.
BTW,
"How will repeat customers find you if you change your username?"
if someone has you on their "FAVORITE SELLERS" list, your new name will be there.

if you start up a brand new account on ebay with your user name, get a couple (maybe 5) of feedbacks then apply to ebay to merge the two accounts, that way you can keep your original score. there is help available on this topic using the help button at the top of the ebay page.
come back to me if you still have questions or problems
