Is there a right way or wrong way to close blinds?

These blinds are vertical and have the bar that you twist which causes them to go up or down.

Usually the manufacturer suggests you close them down in the natural position. My two teenage girls went outside and said they could see inside if you tilt them down, so now we tilt ours up. They think someone might peek in. But really either way works fine.

no. Either way is fine. However you prefer, it bothers me when someone closes mine tilted up don't know why, I always go around & tilt them down.
