I bought my boyfriend XM radio for Christmas (he asked for it) in 2005. It cost me over $300 all together. He never, ever used it. I just got a letter in the mail saying that I had to re-subscribe. I asked him if he wanted me to, and he said, "No, XM was whack."

Should I ask for it back? My dad would get a real kick out of it, and I'd rather let my dad have it then it just sit at my boyfriend's house.

And no, it wouldn't be a "re-gift" for my dad, I would just be giving it to someone who would actually use it.

ask him if he has a problem with giving it to ur dad since he doesnt use it. if he doesnt...cool

if he does have a problem with it...dont get mad. make him take u out to an expensive dinner...order the most expensive meal on the menu...take one bite and say ur not hungry.

or do the same thing he did...dont use any of the presents he bought u.

it makes no sense for your boyf to keep it and if he has anysense he would think that letting your dad have it would make someone else happy, you could even suggest it in such a way that he gives it to your dad and earns himself extra brownie points!
and if he's never even used something you gave him well i think thats wrong!

Why not buy one additional xm unit for your dad so you don't have to ask for it back???

No, it's not wrong for you to ask for it back if you spent so much money on it, and he isn't using it, but you know someone who would. Good luck! =)

If he doesn't want it, suggest he give it to your Dad, telling him just what you just told us. That way, it's not 're-gifting' it's just redistributing.

if he is not going to use it then why not. there is no sense in it just sitting around and going to waste. your boyfriend should have been more appreciative of your present. good luck.

seems reasonable to me, why should it just sit and collect dust when somebody else can use and will-your boyfriend should be understanding enough to see that ♥
