The wire that links the battery to my handcontrol has snapped. I cant move without it - can pay, not much and only once its been mended. Can travel i am in Leeds

I cannot answer this but surely a disabled organisation in Leeds would be your first choice for an answer to this. They would advise of a reliable person or even be able to get it fixed free.

if its only a snapped wire that need reconnecting it it pretty simple and you might be better asking a neighbour or relative to mend it for you. after the weekend it might be a good idea to speak to someone who knows about wheelchair to see it a temporary job is good enough or if you need a new wire.

have you tried the yellow pages? or didnt you get any papers with it that has a help line number...
