My family does, one reason being that we are Irish, so we celebrate that, second we're celebrating the life of St. Patrick, a great missionary to the Irish people.
We celebrate St. Patrick's day by getting all getting together, then we read out of a book about St. Patrick(my Mom's idea), and then we eat cabbage, carrots, potatoes and cornbeef(we usually only have this on St. Patrick's Day so it's always a treat.)

Why: Irish immigrant were categorized with Chinese & Blacks in that era. The Irish saw that being a policeman & fireman brought them respect from others. I celebrate the day by wearing my green and eating corned beef and cabbage with family and friends! Its a fun time!

i celebrate st. patty's day by going to The St. patricks day parade and i danced in it. Then i stay afterward. There are blow up slides, shopping and great food. i celebrate it because im irish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, really people in ireland don't like even celebrate it with dressing up in green. So go figure lol

I'm German so this really doesn't have a lot to do with me.

I use to as a kid, cause if you did not wear green to school u got pitched by all the other kids, and everyone else you ran into. Today, well i really don't think much about it, sometimes i remember it, sometimes i don't.
