Traditionally, as far as I know, it has been men that do most of the driving, but I like it when my wife takes over the job. Gives me a chance to look around.

I categorically refuse to allow my man to drive. He's too slow and besides, if I'm not driving, then I don't get to curse out the other drivers. And I need to do that. Trust me!

My husband used to do most of the driving, but lately he's been a maniac behind the wheel...he bought an Audi A6 Quattro and thinks he's in a rally race all the time. So now he drives when we're only making quick trips to run errands or going out to dinner, and I do the driving on longer trips...that way, he doesn't have as much time to "play" with his car. (lol) It works out okay though; he gets plenty of time to drive his car because he travels a lot for work and I work at home, so I like the chance to drive when I can.

I prefer my husband driving. Although we both have gone through extensive field drive training (ex MP/ street cop/bounty hunter), it's easier with us because I am more flexible and can tend to the children's (2 & 5) needs easier.

If it's a very long trip, then we split half their and half back.

It's also nice to have naps (I sleep best on trips) and take in the great views from Germany. Thank you Army!!!

This is a sore spot in my family-my husband will drive and I will never fall asleep- I keep him company-talk to him-massage his neck when he gets tired-BUT if I drive or he bugs me to drive-all he will do is complain about my driving- he won't let me turn on the radio, he falls asleep directly as I take the wheel(which happens most times) or crabs that I use the signal too much. I can't win with him!!!This is long trip driving I am talking.

I've always done most of the driving until the past year when my son has taken over. My husband is a terrible driver...very easily distracted.

Yup. My dad usually drives for road trips but my mom drives after a while to give my dad some rest. :)

Two cars, we each do our own. On the outside chance that we do go anywhere, I usually let him drive. I have a hellish commute all week and I appreciate the break.

We take turns. Short trip he usually drives, longer trips we both share the driving.
