Have you ever been to one or hosted one? Or are you a Mary Kay consultant or whatever they're called? What goes on at these parties exactly? Do they help you choose makeup colors that suit your skin tone? Do they give you a chance to buy items right there at the party? Sorry for all the questions!

I have been a Mary Kay Consultant for 4 years and have done a lot of parties. They are super fun and easy. You will get a pampering facial prefect for your skin type and tone. Then you can look through looks or the consultant will pick out colors that will look great on you. You can buy the items right away and if you are hosting the party you can get a free gift and free products.

Yea i've been to one. If you have a nice consultant then she'll most likely help you chose the colors that best suit you. Pretty much everyone comes and then eats and talks and then there's a bunch of products that the person brings to your house and you get to chose which one you want to buy. They're soo much fun! Yea, you do have a chance to buy them and for most of the items you can take them home right away.

I went to one [But yours might no be exactly the same] They:
-- Started with looking through the magazines and the hostess tells you about how good they are and she tells you her favorites. You then have the time to put in orders or buy it if she has it.
-- Then they give free facials or make overs with you trying out new things or matching your skin color.
-- They might have activities and food and you go around the room talking about it and you can join to sell Mary Kay products.

yes ive been a guest at a mary kay party before. basically what they do is they give you samples of items you can buy and help you choose what items suit your skin best. they may also try to get you to sign up for things and order products out of the catalogs. you get to experiment with different makeup, facewash, nail polish, etc.

You are taught on how to apply makeup on properly; and who ever is having the party gives you advice on what colors go good with your complexion.
Oh yeah, bring money b/c if you attend one you have to buy some type of makeup.

i was just invited to one, you try out the products, get a free makeover, and get catalogues and information. and the hostess tells you that you can purchase mary kay from her. i think you may be able to purchase some makeup there.

kmb14199 - Are you debating with yourself??? "Casual. Fancy. Is Best. Definately dress to impress. Moderate. Jeans." Haha! I would wear jeans with a dressy shirt. Presentable yet laid back. Is best. *LOL*
