Sound like dirty battery posts. Now if you are driving and the car turns off, you may have a bad battery for one. If the alternator is not charging properly or a dead cell in the battery, then when the battery gets low enough the engine turns off as there is not enough juice to run the engine. But look at the site and book.

Get a Haynes Repair Manual at the local Auto Zone or auto parts store in your area. It will troubleshoot and show you how to fix your vehicle. Also on the Auto Zone site has a section for vehicle maintenance

Here is the URL and look yourself.

When the engine is cold the engine runs in a preset mode.
As soon as the engine gets to operating temperature it goes into "closed loop" and uses multiple engine sensors to control engine timing, air/fuel mixture, and other emissions systems like EGR.

I'd tend to think there is a problem with O2 sensor, EGR valve, or something as simple as a vacuum leak.

Take it to a reputable shop before you start replacing a bunch of parts that may not be faulty.

with out reading the test consequences you have air and/or gasoline regulations. a challenge-loose challenge is working wealthy and clogged catalytic converter by way of unburned gasoline melting the pellets. ignored upkeep extra desirable than in all probability. it's going to in all probability cost extra desirable than the vehicle is well worth to repair it.
