need help on where and how 2 start for my project on
creating a chat application using javascript and ASP.
we are allowed 2 use any other programming language as well.
are there any good resources 2 help me for this project?

im supposed to do
a chat application which should be able to communicate from one computer to another.how is this possible? and a icon 2 launch the application should also be created...i need help on these too..

w3schools.com and planet-source-code.com would be good resources for you to call on. You would communicate between the two computers using IP and a protocol such as WINSOCK. PHP and XHTML would be good languages since javascript has a few limitations. The icon is the simplest part of the assignment.

you gotta be kidding me! do you know how difficult this application is for someone who has no idea how to combine javascirpt with asp.net? you are in way over your head. pay attention in class and read some books on asp.net and javascript before posing such a question to this group.
