I have lived in my neighborhood for eight month and I have a neibor who at first I liked since our kids are best friends
we even wached each others kids ,
but she acts like a child I'm only three years older than her
we are in our early thirdies she use to be in the military she got ckicked out for some reason .my husband is in the military but we all leave off post she insist on saying bad things about military people and trashing them .
wich really hurt my fillings.

Whatever her reasons are for saying the stuff about the military you need to tell her

"my husband is in the military and I would appreciate if you kept your anti military comments silent around me"

Just because your kids are friends does not mean that you have to be friends with her, you have to be civil yes, friends no.

Just because your children are best friends doesn't mean you have to be. It's great if it works out, but there is no point in spending time with someone you don't like. Let your kids be friends, but keep your space from their mother.

Life is always nicer if one avoids people that cause one grief. Since you cannot stop your children from playing together, about the only way to avoid this person is to move. And if this person and her negativity are a major factor in your unhappiness, then, hon, move.

Tell her how you feel. Or you could just make yourself unavailable to her; such as when she wants to talk act as though you have other plans.
