You must not have been paying attention during the mid-term elections. Most Democrats did not favor an immediate withdrawal from Iraq. Most favored a plan that gradually returned our troops home with a reasonable deadline. Hard to feel betrayed about something that was never promised.

I remember the president saying we would have the troops home by 2009 2010. So late 2008 isn't so bad. What are we talking here a couple of extra months? Yeah....those Dem's are some tough hombres aren't they?

what is there? 150,000 soldiers in Iraq.....try moving them out in a week, see how well it goes
The Democrats have a plan to remove them, at least.
Bush supported a troop surge, and regardless of what he says, I refuse to believe he had/has any intentions of bringing them home
If you phase them out, then hopefully Iraq can take over with less resistance than there could be

Maybe you were asleep, but few dem's advocated an immedient withdrawal.
The withdrawal will start this year, and be completed by NO LATER THAN late next year, but probably before that.
