I have a reoccurring dream where I'm trying to escape the people from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (and this is the TCM from 1974, mind you). I always get out of the house somehow and then run down that long dirt driveway they had to the road. When I get to that road it's SUCH a relief. This is where the dream alters sometimes. I always seem to go right but once I get into town or some other safe publice place I either get caught or stay hidden. Lately I've managed to keep myself free/hidden in the dream. I think this is because my actual life has gotten better in the past few months. What do you think? Do any of you have a dream that is infuenced by your life?

Your ability to stay hidden in your dream probably also means you're hiding or not really acknowledging something even more pressing in real-life...? Have you ever tried to willingly fight these psychotics? Have you found some way of getting even with them or even destroying them? .... Hmm... how about this... have you ever tried sleeping without crushing any part of your body (putting your foot under your leg, twisting your arm a little into what is really an uncomfortable position; do u use a firm enough bed for sleeping?)?

i think i would have woke up way before the dream went that far,and if i had a dream that influenced my life i try not to read too much into dreams(so i wouldn't know) I've been having a lot of nightmares and i seriously hope it dosen't have any thing to do with my life

HOW THE HECK DID YOU REMEMBER YOUR DREAM????? I ONLY EVER REMEMBER A FEW LITTLE PIECES OF MY DREAMS

ive had a similar dream, and yes its always connected to events in my life that i subconsciously need to escape. the dream is the same because the feeling is the same, need to escape. the ending alters by whether you feel you can escape the situation or not. Last nite i dreamed i was buried alive, and they found me after i had died....what does that mean????

ps your brain picked up that image because its one you've seen that gave you the feeling that your subconscious was trying to impart....stop watching slasher movies, so your brain will pick up on another image

I think your dream reflects the stress level in your life. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to remember mine for several years now.
