Depends on the ink, and depends on the fabric in the couch. If it's ball point pen, try hairspray (cheap--like Aqua net). That will also work with permanent marker as well. There are also all sorts of solvents you can get at WalMart that clean all sorts of stuff. OxyClean won't really work on something like this though, it works on organic stains. Make sure whatever you try though, you first test in an inconspicuous spot on the sofa, because you don't want to bleach out your fabric. Good luck!

If it is fresh, milk will dissovle a lot of ink. I have used Spot Shot on my microfiber couch, it worked good. Try a bit of laundry detergent, like a tide to go or something.
I do assume you mean couch as in sofa and not a coach as in a buggy or person to teach sports.
Good luck.

Nail polish remover. i've gotten ink in my clothes and permanent ink is so hard sometimes impossible to get out of clothes. i tried nail polish remover and it came right out. depending on how big the stain is it may take a few times to get it out but for a small stain it comes right out. there are also many cleaners that get out ink only thing is they have a really strong smell that can almost choke you if you breathe it too much. try it on your couch Good Luck

Goof Off removes ink, paint, glue, and stuff like that. It's sold at home centers. I've always had success with it on hard surfaces. It would at least get some of it out of a couch -- maybe all of it. That's quite possible; it's good stuff.

Try hairspray. My daughter once covered the sofa with pen markings. Once all else had failed I got my bottle of hair spritzer, sprayed it and rubbed it out.
