Never drink water or any beverage that will only enhance it all the more. What you want to do is to smother it with a slice of bread, breadstick even a cracker will do; something that will smother it, as a blanket will smother(most)fires.

Have you ever eaten something terribly spicy or hot and tried to make it stop? Here's how:
Steps

1. Eat some SPICY food .
2. Look for a packet or a spoonful of sugar .
3. Put the sugar in your mouth and suck on it for about 20 seconds.
4. If that does not work, try drinking milk(not water , see tips)
5. Or eat lots of bread.

Warnings

* Do not drink water, it will carry the spice throughout your body, making you feel like you're on fire.

drinking orange juice will work as well as milk on this one. Also, eating something like chocolate after the spicy food will take the burn away. But who would want to take away the sting? That is the fun of spicy food!!!!!!

The best thing to eat while your mouth is burning is a little sour cream. Ask your server for some when you order your food so that you will be prepared. Also a good idea would be to ask your server if your selection is hot or mild. These tips work for me. Good luck.

Eating starch food items such as rice, or warm potatos. Not ice, or water. Bread also is a good remedy. Or, like what I do, just eat more to build up tolerance over time.
