Ok, I've had a crush on this guy for a while now. I didn't tell my best friend, which may have been a mistake. A few weeks after I start liking him, she starts liking him. I can't tell her or she'll get mad, or depressed. So when shes around him, she acts REALLY obnoxious and makes fun of me. She tells dumb jokes that no one thinks are funny and then if he does laugh, it hurts to see them talking or even interacting of any kind. I really like him, and it seems like he likes me as a friend. There could be more if my friend wasnt in the way. I know this sounds shallow.
So, what do I do, do I try and stop liking him so my friend can have him, or do I tell my friend, OR should I tell him?

I would be up front and tell my friend. AND NEVER fight over it. Talk calmly, let her know that the jokes bother you if they do and set up some rules that both of you can live with. Example: you try not to get jealous or if he ask one of you out the other will try to be calm and let you go out.

don't worry cuz i have the same problem but mine si sooooooo much bigger. my friend is really pretty and hot and since i helepd her get close to him they are boyfriend and grilfriend! because of me and she thinks she so great and has a boyfriend even when we're both twleve. it all happened because of em. i told the guy things about my best friend and we kinda became friends and now my girl friend sia cting jeaolous and when she tells me stuff i just tell her to spare me the details. *she's shy to talk to the guy and their relationship just started and the guy's 14* i just forgive my bets friend and i knwo she really loves him and somehing might happen although the boy only has a cruch on her. i don't wantto get in their way so i just step aside and i am pleased with the fact that the boy is my friend. become a friend with this boy and maybe when another guy comes on the way your friend will loose her head after him and then you can like him all you want!

Just forget abut him, friends are more important then guys are ... you don't want to ruin your friendship over a crush ... and let her know that putting others down will not make attractive and to just be herself around guys ... I'm sure in another few weeks there'll be another boy who'll steal your heart ...

this happens a lot to me. My best friend is really pretty, and she usually likes the same guys i do. I just forget about them. Friends are way more important. If he likes you as a friend, take that , and be ahppy being his friend. He could like youm you never know....
