Jason E did a great job of explaining what New England contains. He was also right in saying that the Patriots play their home games in Foxboro, Massachusetts, but to explain why they are called the New England Patriots, he should have added that they used to be the the Boston Patriots until the team was bought by the owner of the Gillette shaving conglomerate. He moved the team to Foxboro, which is about halfway between Boston and Providence, RI. He built Gillette Stadium with his own money and re-named then the New England Patriots in order to try to drum up more fan support from Rhode Island and Connecticut.

New England is a Regoin the Northeast, with states like Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

The Patriots Actually Play in Foxboro Mass, 50 miles Southwest of Boston, and 39 Miles North of Providence R.I.

You understand If not the Stadium right off of Highway 1 Between Boston and Providence.

That's enough out of me.

North of New York, it is a group of States. I guess none are big enough to get another team there so they all adopted the Patriots. The Pats actually used to be the Boston Pats.

Pennsylvania is NOT part of New England. Trust me I live in the Commonwealth and WE ARE NOT part of New England. Heck New York has a team(they claim 3 but 2 are still in New Jersey) and PA has 2 teams. Neither State is part of New England. It is a region of small States, it ends at New York in part because the importance of New York. PA is the KEYSTONE State because it was the center of getting the revolution. Ever see an arch? That stone in the middle of the top where it all comes togther? That is the KEYSTONE.

Hey sunshine Pennsylvania is not part of New England.
New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, Maine, and Rhode Island. In New England we have the best team in the NFL hands down. All others no need to be jealous.

they play in Foxborough, MA
New England is composed of six states, each with its own character. Connecticut, an easy day hop for New Yorkers, has exceedingly pretty villages with their central commons and steepled churches; cultural hot spots like art museums, Yale University in New Haven, and the home of Mark Twain in Hartford; and lots of antique shops in the rolling Litchfield Hills of the northwest. Moving eastward, Rhode Island, the Ocean State, offers spectacular sandy beaches; the mansions, vineyards, and boating of Newport; and the crackle of hip nightlife along the rivers that wind through Providence, the capital city. Massachusetts extends from the magnificent sand bluffs and beaches of Cape Cod and the islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, through the metropolis of Boston – the birthplace of the American Revolution – to the blue-green mountains of the Berkshires, home of acclaimed music, dance, and art festivals.
