You're probably right. I can't imagine them being any worse then they were last year. I think the Brew Crew will be a lot better in the National League this year as well.

I agree with you. They don't need to make the playoffs to be the most improved team. I think they have a real chance at finishing around the .500 mark. They have a couple young guys that are definitely going to give them some good offense: Mark Teahan, Alex Gordon (the second coming of Goerge Brett), Esteban German (contact & speed) and Billy Butler. Butler probably won't make the team out of spring training, but he can really hammer the ball. I think the biggest thing they need to improve over last year to be a better tem is the relief pitching. If they can keep from blowing the 30-35 leads they did last year, the Royals will certainly be the most improved team.

This is simple, the Cubs, they haven't been good in the past few years and now both Prior and Wood will be back, you got Lou and you spent a load of money picking up good players in free agency. There is no way that the Cubs won't be the most improved team in baseball this year and for a few years after this season.

Percentage wise - if KC wins 4 games they may be the most improved. They are improving, and doing it the right way. Their start may have been at GM, by getting Dayton who helped build a pretty good legacy and farm system in Atlanta. for more proof on this one - Check out Billy Butler.
As much as I hate it, I'll have to go with the Cubs on this one. They only won 4 more games than KC and 5 more than TB but they did a WHOLE lot more to improve the team in the off season. They could win 25 more games this year with a healty rotation, new coach and new offense.

I think the Toronto Blue Jays! I think they have the ability to contend in the East... They Royals will be better in that they won't lose 100 games... as for the Cubs.... no, sorry. They will have to compete with the Cardinals and the Reds, plus Milwaukee might be a surprise team also. I also think the Padres can 3-peat if they play well against the Dodgers.

The Arizona Diamondbacks. They brought up a lot of young kids (Drew, Quentin, Young) but with the addition of RJ they have just enough veteran leadership. The offense may struggle at times but with Webb, Johnson, and Livan anchoring the rotation they should win a lot of tight ball games. Valverde is an underrated closer who will be able to hold onto the leads they give him. They are a young improving team with a good mix of talented younger players and a few proven veterans. I like KC too, but I think they are still a year away because of the lack of proven starting pitching.

Some people might laugh, but I do think you are right.
Especially if Alex Gordon makes the team.
So what they overpaid Gil Meche?
They almost had too to get a somewhat decent pitcher.
KC (with Dayton Moore at the helm) will slowly, but surely, get better.
I seriously doubt they will lose 100 games this year. They may even get close to .500---and fight the whiny sux for 4th place.

I would say the Royals. They have a better lineup and a better rotation. They also have one of the top prospects Alex Gordon. Who will probably win the ROY award. And if all of the additions can help them enoug they actually might not finish last in the central.

if kansas city puts any effort, that's a drastic improvement because nobody has any hope for them.
If both NY teams and Detroit slip even a little bit, it'd be a drastic fall because the expectations they have.
I think the Chicago Cubs will have improved in the next couple of years.

Don't laugh but if you are basing this on improving on last season's record I will go with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. They are not going to contend but if they get just a little pitching I think they are a .500 team. They just might have the best outfield in all of baseball with Crawford, Baldelli and Delmon Young.
