This is a console that is, I believe, unrelated to the actual Nintendo company, but you can play old games on it.

There was a colsole in development in Japan that would've allowed users to play old NES and SNES games whose name eludes me. At any rate the production on it was haulted b/c of the obvious legal ramifications. I think there are one or two working models out there but there's no way anyone is getting their hands on them as I'm sure they're more prototype designs. Sorry but the only way to play old games is with the actual systems or the Wii, though with the Wii you have to wait for the virutal console to release the title you want whereas if you have the cartrage you can just play it anytime and the virtual console won't be releasing any games from companies that no longer exist b/c of legal reasons so I would say that if you're into the old school games to just pony up dough and get the consoles and games you want.

well the nintendo wii has something called the "virtual console" in which you can go online and downlaod games (for a fee) from the nes, snes, nintendo 64, sega genisis, and turbo graphix.

for the prices there are "wii points' in which you can buy a points card in stores "like iTunes" or you can use a credit card. the prices are conversions and prices are

1 wii point= 1 cent
100 wii points= $1

nes games = 500 wii points

snes games = 800 wii points

nintendo 64 games = 1000 wii points

sega genisis games = 800 wii points

turbo graphix games = 600 wii points

Note: the prices may vary. I believe "The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of TIme" for the nintendo 64 is 1200 wii points
