Adam & Barbara save her from marrying Beetlejuice. He gets eaten by the sand worm. The 2 families live in the house together. And while waiting 2 see his caseworker, Beetlejuice steals a witch doctors place in line and the witch doctor shrinks his head.

Yep, Adam & Barbara save her from marrying Beetlejuice. He's sent to that desert and eaten by the sand worm.
Lydia is adopted by Adam & Barbara and they live in the downstairs of the house while the Deetz's live in the attic.
