if the screen is white, that's because the panel is broken, you could look on ebay to get a replacement screen (easy to do yourself) but it may cost from 150 to 250 dollars depending on the screen size, brand...

Did you drop it? try this;Most likely it is just a bad connection between the LCD display and the system board. I would try to reseat the video connector on the back of the LCD screen first and check if it fixes the problem. After that I would try to reseat the video cable connector on the system board. I would also reseat cables if there is no video on the LCD screen at all.

go to the start button and go to help. Under task go to the restore system and follow instructions. This will restore all of your info. and bring you back to how you got the computer when you got it. You can restore your computer up till the problem began. There is a calender and it will allow you to go back when the problem started.
