Let's see, I'll be The 56 Year Old Computer Grandma, since I ask so many computer questions, at least you will know who you are dealing with and that you need to "talk down to me" about computers :) What kind of cd is good to use to put digital photos on to take to store and have copies made, or is their a better cheaper way to do this at home ? via a site ?? I'm always looking for cheap but good because I have now reached the generation of fixed income, and mine was shrunk by health issues :) thanks ahead of time. remember, "talk down' means make it simple for me and maybe give me options. I appreciate your help more than you know. WEndy

Hi Grandma, If you want to save your photo's on a cd-r, for a very long time, it is recommended that you use archival cd-r disc's. They will last much longer than a regular cd. I have heard this, from many professionals, who save cd photo's for a long time. They are much thicker and will last forever..Please read this article>>

If you want to store it, why not go for "Pen drives" they are cheaper and efficiently backup any of your data, including digital photos.. One time investment can save a lot of money, instead paying for CD each and every time it gets filled up.. Go for a large capacity Pen drive which may comparitively lower the cost..
