NO. When a very high mass star explodes through and explosion called super nova, it will become so small and dense and will form a black hole. Black hole has a mass of star but it is so small, and has such a gravity that even light, the fastest object in the universe can not escape from it. That's why we can not see it.

No, it's not a magical substance. It just has such a high gravity that the escape velocity is greater than the speed of light as you cross the event horizon.
