I have a 3,3L year 2000 Grand Voyager which I'm trying to export from SA to the UK. The police cannot find the engine number (not the VIN number) and so will not issue a clearance certificate - anyone know where it is?

it should be on the engine block just below the head unit, it may be covered in oil and dirt so you may have to get the engine steam cleaned or you could try getting some metal sandpaper and try cleaning it yourself . look for a flat piece of metal around the top of the engine blockl

I had a similar situation with my grand prix. right this is what I did. hit upon the relay for the fan. The relay could have another fuses for the motor vehicle located close to it. in case you have 2 followers then there will be 2 relays. One fan works with the ac on and the different justs retains the engine temp regulated. With the engine no longer working take the relay out. stumble on a paper clip. super one is the main suitable. Open it out and initiate leaping the steel leads of which the relay replaced into related to. you will get the fan to teach on. whether it particularly is no longer turning on then the fan needs to get replaced. If the fan activates then the temp sensor on the motor needs to get replaced. do exactly no longer carry the paper clip on the leads long. it gets a splash heat to touch. The water pump is mostly a sturdy element to interchange exceedingly whilst the motor has gotten that warm.

Lift the bonnet up. Towards the hinges of the bonnet, near the windscreen wipers and the gutter, you will see a small silver metal plate or a sticker with the number on.
