First things first, sit back and take a deep breath! The transition from Grade School to High School is a very stressful time. There is more freedom but unfortunately it also means more responsibility. Take it one day at a time, schedule your homework to allow for breaks, get up and go outside, walk around the block and have a small healthy snack like an apple or crackers and peanut butter. You will feel refreshed, and clear-minded. This also helps when you get stuck on a problem. Next look into a class at school that perks your interest, shop, art, choir, something more unconventional. It breaks up the day a little and most lighten your work load due to lack of ability to take work home. (and if you say have art homework, look at it this way you are doodling for school!) After this find a hobby, a school group if you want or even something outside of school, to give you something that doesn't relate to school. Also consider study groups, just one or two people that have the same classes as you, and probably understand the issues you are facing. Just remember when you get to your boiling point take a step back and remember to breath and relax. School is actually a great thing and you should enjoy learning, but it does get stressful, and more and more there is an increase of pressure on students to achieve higher and higher. Do your best, and you will be fine! Take it from me I am in college again for my second Bachelor's degree. It's stressful, but as long as you pace yourself you will get through! Good luck, hang in there!

Well you didn't really specify what in school is bothering so I'll take from what you said and answer to the best of my ability.

For starters when you do your homework/work you need to be in a room alone without distractions. Some people like listening to music to keep background noise etc out but find what works with you for that.

Make sure you have time for yourself during the day. You need to be able to have you time or else you won't be able to devote your time to something else. You'll just want to blow through everything and that won't get you a very good grade.

Have a good solid group of friends, that always helps. Having friends that you can lean on is going to make high school so much better.

Make the effort to go the extra step with your teachers. The better you do the more likely they'll be to help you and encourage you etc. If you are simply sitting there sleeping/slacking off they're not going to want to help you as you don't put forth any effort.

Once you get school in order, meaning organized and under control you'll see stress disappear pretty fast. The key is staying on top of it. Maintain the grade you want, the right attitude and a constant level of effort.

Then do what you like to do to destress yourself. Example, a bubble bath.

Stress can really get to you. Between homework, home stuff, and friendships it can be hard to balance it all! Your not alone. A LOT of students are stressed out, your not alone. Get lots of sleep.
Right when you get out of school start your homework. That way later you will have time. It is also less stressful to know everything is done.
On the weekend try to do something with your friends.
Treat yourself! Buy a cd, go to a movie, or pick up a hobby.
If you are in tons of hard classes consider dropping one for an easier class, like gym. You have 3 more years to worry about all the classes you have to take. Give yourself a break.
And remember, your not alone!(I get stressed too!)

Yeah, we all wish we could be back in those Kindergarten days, huh? lol

Well, make sure you are sleeping at least 7 hrs each night. That can be a great stress reliever. Keeping a diary and writing thoughts are another great way. I bet it's homework though that's stressing you out though, huh? Well, buddy up with a close friend and study together! Trust me, it always works! :)
I know it will get harder from here on, so make sure you enjoy your days. Relax, and don't worry about it at the moment. ;)

I felt the same way last year, but it gets better. Always try to enjoy at least one class alot, like an elective. I am in JROTC and it helped alot b/c its easy and i made alot of new friends. Set some goals for yourself each quarter and do your best to meet them. I thought it was stupid last year, but when I did, I started enjoying school alot more. Also, try talking to someone who doesn't go to your school, that way you can tell them stuff that you know won't be repeated where you go 5 out 7 days.
