Please help newbie to wireless router?

I have a pc hooked through a wireless router, how do i add my lap top to this ?

Ensure your laptop's wireless card is enabled, double click on the network icon on the system tray, select the network name from the available networks list and double click on it. If a popup window appears asking for a network key or encryption then enter the password/key and hit enter. That should get you connected.

if you have wireless built in to your laptop you should only have to click on the wireless icon,then find a network,then click on any unsecure network
