is it safe to get accupuncture when you are in your first trimester of pregnancy?

I don't know that it is "unsafe" to have accupuncture done in the first trimester. I actually had a friend of mine have it done, but the only problem she had with it was bleeding. Some of the needles they placed in her cause her to bleed for a good amount of time but it wasn't excessive bleeding. If all else fails, call your doctor or speak to a nurse in the Labor and Delivery dept...Good Luck :)

As long as you go to a qualified accupuncturist and they are aware that you are pregnant.
