that's the reason i don't even say like "crap" and stuff when i talk. because i know one word will lead to another and soon i'll be cussing just like the rest of the kids in HS.
don't stop all of the sudden, stop using certain words gradually and then just stop when u get to baby swear words.

I don't think there is any 'magic' answer to this. Dealing with your perceived problem is just like most things, stop before embarking on the undesired behaviour, think, and then act.

In this case every time your mouth starts to open, take a short pause, and think about what your want your words to represent of who you really are to those around you. If the first thoughts do not do this, simple change them.

We have created a world in which everything seems to have to proceed at breakneck speed, the few milliseconds soundbyte etc, don't let these exterior forces trick you into speaking ( or acting ) without thinking first.

I believe that every thought, and every word, and every deed, has a 'value', and puts a certain amount of 'energy' out there into the manifested world, and often, without sufficient 'Intent' applied we put some stuff that we really don't intend.

My Sister and her husband have a 3 yr old daughter and have had to give up swearing for obvious reasons. They have a jar that stays in the kitchen and if either of them swear they have to put a dollar in the jar. Not only is it a good way to stop swearing, it's a great way to save a little money. Just a thought.

Put a thick rubber band on your wrist. Everytime you swear, or begin to swear, or think about swearing, snap that rubber band hard. Seriously, that is a technique used by some therapists to help people face and realize how often they have negative behaviours or thoughts.

Just stop doing it and if you do stop herself. Stopping is as easy as getting into the habbit.
