I am appalled at the disregard for human life, people who say that it is not insane, and make comments about not wanting deformed or unwanted children, so, what is the world suggesting concerning abortion? why stop there? why not 1 month old, 6 months old? how about a year? 5 years? 10 years? it's a pandora's box that should not be opened, I find an interesting comparison to the 1936 german supreme court ruling that a jew was not a person, to the Roe V wade ruling that in effect an unborn child is not a person, is this the road we wish to travel. secular people will say that you cannot legislate morality, well I ask, Is Murder against ther law? of course it is, well then, you just legislated morality, the only difference is who's morality will you legislate? Also, secular people will always take these words out of context "judge not lest ye be judged" and always take it out of context.

I COMPLETELY agree with you. It's just flat out disgusting what people do innocent babies. It's not our place to decide who is worthy of living on this earth.

Another great website that shows what abortion really is:
http://www.abort73.com it's very graphic, not good for young eyes.

Whatever happened to children being a blessing, rather than burdens? I have a child who is mentally handicapped (slightly) but she is quite a handful. NEVER did I consider not having her!

I will add, however, that I did once abort a child, even though I didn't really WANT to, but it was only due to a terrible medical problem, and I was going to do die if I kept the pregnancy. Some say that is still wrong, but I couldn't justify leaving the children I had already brought into this world. It was a difficult choice, and I one I pray no one ever has to make.

I believe God has granted people free will and intelligence. There's a fine line between what is truly acceptable to God. If killing an unborn baby is okay, then stealing, molesting, arson, and other things should also be okay.

If a woman doesn't want to provide life support to her child, then she shouldn't be putting herself into compromising positions.

One thing that I find completely disturbing is how if someone is accidentally killed (through a car accident or other tragedy) that the person who caused the accident gets at minimum, manslaughter. An accident is an accident, right? I think there should be intent on the part of the person committing (not to say premeditation, just intent ... they MEANT to cause harm).

Just some thoughts from a society-confused Christian.

The issue, the core issue, is who gets to make decisions about what happens within a person's body...

Either the person has the final say, or someone other than that person has the final say. Either the individual, or the government.

Personally, I can't imagine a worse fate, or a more morally objectionable outcome, than to say that what happens inside my own body is not my decision.

Your analogy to the German Court decision regarding Jews is flawed. Nobody on the pro-choice side of the argument is saying that a fetus or child can be terminated once it has reached the point of viability -- in other words, once it can survive outside the mother's body.

The only issue is whether a person can be forced to provide life support when she does not choose to. And that answer should always be no. Just like the government shouldn't be allowed to take your blood for the benefit of another against your will, or force you to donate a kidney against your will, it's wrong to force a person to play human incubator against her will.

Why? Because it's wrong to force one human being to serve the needs of another against their will. It doesn't matter whether that other is 50 years old, or 5 years old, or 5 months old.

Whew! That sure is a lot of words....

When you come right down to it, you cannot legislate morality...

When you come right down to it, a woman has a right to make decisions concerning her own body.

When you come right down to it, nobody can force a woman to give birth.

If you are against abortion, then don't have one...that is only YOUR opinion about YOUR body.
