Have you ever looked at the birds around your house or some where else. They lay eggs, hatch them and when the offspring are born ,they feed them , and once those babies are strong enough to fly, they leave, and the same circle goes on with them too. so this is how the nature has setup for everyone else

The key word is "generally". However, in many cases children struggle to fulfil their obligations both to their parents and spouse, and you might be thinking of the parents being abandoned. This can be avoided if both the parents and the spouse recognise the person caught in middle to be in two partnerships, one with the spouse and one with the parent. Both partnerships have distinct duties and obligations and should be recognised and respected as such. As a child an offspring should consult parents and give them their space and draw a boundary into his new role in life where their input will be solicited IF necessary. The spouse similarly should be made aware of their role and boundaries. Once this is done tactfully in the beginning the future becomes more manageable.

Every newly married couple needs time on their own to work out their relationship. Living with either pair of in-laws at the very beginning of a marriage is just asking for trouble, because they can't resist getting involved and giving advice when the couple may not want it. And some parents can't realise their kids are adults now, and need to make their own mistakes.

Cos they are selfish. All they think about is themselves and not about the parents who sacrificed a lot to raise them.

A successful person is the one who is able to manage and maintain all his relationships, stick on to his commitments towards his parents, siblings, spouse, friends, and yet maintain his values and individuality. But that's a tough job. So they choose the easy way out. Sick, isn't it?

All the best...

Your question isn't clear. Don't you expect the children to move on and live their own lives in their own home? Have you invited them over? Did you move away or did they just completely stop corresponding with you - no birthday or holiday cards? What's the real issue here?
