How do I type Greek and Hebrew characters on my keyboard?

I still want to type in English (American), I just want to insert other caharacters.

Further to the previous answer, you can then assign your most commonly used symbols to another key so you don't have to go through all the pain of looking for it next time you need it.

If you are using MS Word click on "Insert" click on "Symbol" and find the character you want.
