hmm.. i don't know. i always thought it was just another word for "a stupid person".

I think it has a bit of a german/yiddish basis, since that's where I first heard of it. It's not an acronym or abbreviation, but I think it's on the order of dumpkopf ("dumb head")., as in, from another language.

its just a word that means like goof or idiot. f.u.c.k. is an acronym though.
