The run is for 19 -years-olds in my college. The route's length is limited. What if I make the run to be 2 laps? Would it be too dull for the participants to run the route twice ?

Yes, it is possible to have one lap for the girls and two laps for the boys. I am wondering how long would it take for an average runner to finish off 2.2 miles. Any idea ? Perhaps 25minutes for the guys and 45 minutes for the girls ?

For runners that aren't too serious, 2.2 miles is a good yet challenging amount.

For more serious runners, maybe a longer distance would be better.

What about having a one lap run and a two lap run? Would that be possible?

If you increase the distance like that, it could intimidate people who aren't serious runners, but would still like to help.
