Don't wear fake eyelashes they look too....well, fake! No7 make a product called Lash and Brow Definer. It is a 'clear' mascara, that will lengthen and condition your lashes. Put it on and allow to dry, and then put your black mascara on top. You really will see a difference.
You can buy it from Boots, its 8.50 but will last quite a while.

You can always put on fake lashes that you can get just about anywhere. Also if that doesn't work you can get lash extensions for about 100 dollars or so that'll last a month or two. If those don't work then try a different mascara and using an eyelash comb after. I find that curling my lashes makes them prettier too. You can also try using eyelash conditioner. You just put it on you lashes everynight before you go to bed and then wash it off in the morning.

Either you can go to your local pharacist and pick up the lashes that fill in or you can just get the longer ones they dont hurt and they are easy to put on and all so wear like bronze eyeshadow and like browns will make your mascara stand out.
hope that was helpful
from short eyelashes as well

another yahoo user asked a similar question a few months ago. having the same problem with having short eyelashes and mascara always making my lashes look horrible, i was interested in what the answerers had to say. one user suggested a mascara by Maybelline called "Full n' Soft"
i tried it myself and i must say, it makes my lashes look awesome, and as long as you pump the brush a few times to clean the glops off before you apply, you will get really good separation and length
curling your lashes before applying your mascara will help alot also

I'm not sure if this will help, but Jan Marini makes a product the will help eye lashes grow. I have to tell you that is an expensive product. My wife works for a Dermatologist and this is one of the products he sells. He gave each of his employees a tube (goes on like eyeliner) and to make a long story short, he can't keep any in stock. Its one of the best selling products on the market. Its so good that Oprah Winfrey did a so on it...Its called " Jan Marini Age intervention eyelash conditioner...he is a site to check it out. You can check out eBay also , but this is sort of an expensive product.

try getting a treatment or something that helps define and make your lashes longer..also lashes are something that you have to have...everygirl needs lashes that are long and with volume because thats something that would look really good and when you go out at night with a little black dress and your long lashes it will look great...you can also get eyelash extentions....they may or may not work... i have never tried that but i have heard of it...it may work because they are long and defined and volumized.
